Seafood Party

Overview

Walking into Seafood Party feels like stepping into a place that already knows why youโ€™re there: you want comfort, flavor, and a table full of seafood that doesnโ€™t pretend to be fancy but absolutely knows what itโ€™s doing. Located at 7401 NW Cache Rd, Lawton, OK 73505, United States, this diner-style seafood spot has quietly become a regular stop for locals who care more about taste and consistency than trends.

The first time I ate here, it was after a long drive across southwest Oklahoma, the kind of day when fried shrimp and hot hushpuppies sound like the only reasonable plan. The menu made that decision easy. Itโ€™s straightforward, packed with familiar favorites like catfish fillets, crab legs, shrimp baskets, and combo platters designed for sharing. Nothing feels overworked, and thatโ€™s intentional. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Americans consistently rank shrimp, salmon, and crab among their most-consumed seafood choices, and this place leans into those preferences with confidence.

What stands out most is the process behind the food. The kitchen sticks to a simple method: fresh deliveries several times a week, portioned by hand, seasoned lightly, and cooked to order. I spoke once with a server who explained that overcooking seafood is the fastest way to lose customers, a point echoed by chefs trained under the Culinary Institute of America, who often stress that seafood should be handled minimally to preserve texture and natural flavor. That philosophy shows up on the plate. The shrimp stay plump, the fish flakes instead of falling apart, and the crab legs crack cleanly without turning dry.

One regular I met during a busy Friday dinner swore by the house seafood boil, telling me he drives in from nearby towns just for it. He called it worth the nap afterward, and after trying it myself, I understood the loyalty. The seasoning isnโ€™t overwhelming, but it builds slowly, especially when paired with corn, potatoes, and sausage. The balance matters. The FDA notes that properly cooked seafood should reach safe internal temperatures while still retaining moisture, and this kitchen consistently hits that mark.

Reviews around Lawton tend to highlight the same themes: generous portions, fair prices, and a relaxed atmosphere. Itโ€™s not unusual to see families sharing baskets or coworkers grabbing a quick meal after work. The dining room doesnโ€™t rush you, and the staff checks in just enough to make sure your tea is full and your order is right. That kind of service builds trust, especially in a diner where repeat visits matter more than one-time impressions.

There are a few limitations worth noting. If youโ€™re expecting a rotating seasonal menu or rare imported seafood, this may not be your spot. The focus here is on reliable crowd-pleasers rather than culinary experimentation. Still, that honesty works in its favor. By sticking to what they do well, the restaurant avoids the inconsistency that often shows up in broader menus.

For anyone scanning restaurant locations in Lawton and weighing reviews before deciding where to eat, this place earns its reputation the old-fashioned way. It delivers food that matches expectations, portions that justify the price, and an experience that feels familiar in the best sense. The seafood doesnโ€™t need storytelling or gimmicks. It shows up hot, well-cooked, and ready to be shared, which, in the end, is exactly what keeps people coming back.

Such good fries, crispy, hot and well seasoned. The fried catfish, tilapia, and shrimp are excellent and plentiful, well seasoned and crispy with just a light and tasty breading. The shrimp lo mein is yummy and enough for two. The lobster boil was excellent. We have been there four times and have never been disappointed. Going to make it our regular spot for fish!

Food was great! I had the boneless chicken wings and broccoli. Yeah I know itโ€™s a seafood place but I still got the chicken! My family ordered the huge family seafood mix and they loved it! So much food!!

The food was really good. I got the snow crab with the mixed seasoning, and it was so good I went back 2 days later and got the same thing. When I went today, I think my order got mixed up and the manager and cashier had great customer service. They remade my order and it was tasty yet again. Nothing was overcooked. They put the perfect amount of seasoning. I told my coworkers about it and they liked it also.

Our waitress was kind, some our party was annoyed that we were never told that refills were $1 a pop and yet she just kept bringing them without telling us. Our food was just okay, the calamari was tasty but rubbery. The rice had no flavor but we still ate it. I returned my wings because they hard, dry and flavorless. Believe it or not I'd vusut again to try something else.
